Still images for six JPL science support scenarios whose films are in production

The Sun during a solar eruption

Still images for the six JPL scenarios whose films are in production: wind in smoke season, ocean records, a solar eruption, cold-atom physics, a returned sample, and a planet search.

The other six scenarios in the JPL series are written and illustrated, and their films are in production. Each follows one JPL team member with one question: which valley needs a wind measurement during smoke season; whether a warmer ocean map shows a real change or an instrument change; how much of a lost solar observation another observatory can fill in; what test can explain a changing signal in an orbiting cold-atom experiment; whether the way a sample was handled explains a pattern in a crystal; and whether a faint point in a test image is a planet or an instrument effect.
