A sixteen-minute film on a possible lunar program from 2036 to 2046

Film · 2026 · 16:19

The full Across the Moon film: ten years of a possible lunar program, from the first south pole base to science camps, relay satellites, watch stations, and the Space Academy.

Across the Moon is the full film that the shorter versions are cut from. It follows one possible lunar program year by year: Shackleton Base Alpha at the south pole in 2036, relay satellites and a reconnaissance orbiter in 2037, camps at Hadley in 2038, Aristarchus in 2039, Orientale in 2040, and Bhabha in 2041, watch stations in 2043, and the program in 2046.

The film also covers what the base needs around it: how cargo is delivered, how the far side stays in contact with Earth, which civil and military organizations keep lunar traffic safe, and a Space Academy that trains crews first for workload, then for field science.
